The Crash Edition of Skylanders Imaginators is Target Exclusive in Australia
The big Skylanders news to come out of E3 this year was that Crash Bandicoot would be coming to the series. He’ll only be available in a PlayStation exclusive starter pack for Skylanders Imaginators, but will be playable on all platforms which hints at a standalone release of the figure later on. In case you missed our tweet about it earlier, this special Crash Edition of the game will be exclusive to Target stores in Australia. In an advertising email sent out last week, the PS4 version was listed in the ‘Coming Soon’ section, along with the mention that it will be exclusive, but no details on pricing yet. There was nothing about the PS3 version, so it’s possible we’re not getting it (as was the case with the Disney Infinity 3.0 Special Edition I believe), but we’ll see what we can find out. It could even be that it’s just the PS4 version of the game that’s exclusive, while other stores will stock the PS3 version. We’ll let you know if there’s any updates. UPDATE: Target will only be stocking the PS4 version.
The Crash Edition of the game includes everything that the normal Starter Pack does, as well as the Crash figure. There’s no news yet about whether there’ll be a version of the Dark Edition of the game with a Crash figurine, like there was for Bowser and DK in Superchargers last year.
Skylanders Imaginators will launch October 13th in Australia, on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U. This date and others can be found in our calendar.
