Animal Crossing’s Sanrio Collaboration amiibo Cards Go on Sale Tomorrow

The fifth wave of Animal Crossing amiibo cards launches tomorrow, which unlocks special villagers and furniture in Animal Crossing: New Leaf if you’ve downloaded the Welcome amiibo update. Also launching tomorrow is a very special pack of amiibo cards that contains 6 collaborative cards featuring characters and items themed after different Sanrio characters, such as Hello Kitty. These cards will bring in one of 6 villagers to your town’s campsite, where you can order their special furniture for yourself or ask them to move into your town. You can view these cards below.

You might’ve seen the Japanese packs that contain 2 random cards and a seal with Sanrio-themed artwork on it. The Australian release is a lot simpler – our packs don’t have a seal in them, but they do contain all six cards so you only need to buy a single pack! You won’t be able to just walk into a store and buy one of these special packs, however – you’ll need to head to Nintendo AUNZ’s eBay store from 9am on November 10th, where they’ll be available for purchase. It’s been confirmed to us by Nintendo that these are definitely eBay exclusive and won’t be available in any retailer. Pricing details won’t be revealed prior to the pack going live on the store but I can’t imagine the pricetag putting too much strain on your wallet. We’re also prepping a guide that will hopefully clear up what the various types of amiibo do in the latest update which should be done later this week so make sure to check back!
