Feel the Wrath of Cortex in Skylanders Imaginators: Crash Edition

There wasn’t a huge amount of information revealed about the Crash Edition of Skylanders Imaginators. All we really knew was that it contained a Crash Bandicoot figure as well as the normal Starter Pack contents, and that here in Australia it would be exclusive to Target and only on PS4. But now a promotional image has leaked via GameStop (thanks Skylanders Character List) that shows a new character who will also be included in this version of the game.

If you zoom in, you’ll see that the box includes a Skylanders figure of Dr. Neo Cortex, the main antagonist of the Crash Bandicoot series. This makes sense as a lot of the new Sensei characters in Imaginators are reformed Skylanders villains. Amazon have now released a clearer picture of the box, but have since taken it down. Thankfully people snagged an image of it before they did – thanks Vook for sending it through!

Both of these characters will be compatible with all versions of the game, and if you’re not playing on PlayStation then you’ll be able to purchase the Thumpin Wumpa Islands Adventure Pack some time before the end of this year. This pack includes both characters and a Crash-Bandicoot-themed level.

We don’t currently have pricing for the Crash Edition in Australia, but you’ll be able to purchase it on October 13th along with the standard edition of the game and the EB Exclusive Dark Edition. You can check this and other release dates in our calendar.
